About the Documentary

The documentary looks into everyday lives of the Han people now living in southern China, near the Burmese, Laotian and Vietnamese borders. The ancient Han Nation came to the Yunnan Province in the 2nd century A.D. Its people were one of the first to domesticate the wild tea shrub. Drawing on the rich tapestry of historical tea culture, the film attempts to draw a portrait of the nation’s culture and customs and present the beauty of south-western Chinese territories.
